As an educator, I encourage and push students to examine what and how they’re designing, imparting formal proficiency, visual acuity, critical skills, methods for designing that encourage discovery, and a view of design that can give them more insight into the broader world.

Research Statement

For as long as I can remember, I’ve placed how something happens on par with the outcome. I’ve looked for ways to craft systems for designing that create the possibilities for a multitude of options; that back me into a corner and force me to come up with creative solutions in order to get out; that generate ideas and solutions that I never would have otherwise made.
